AWARD CATEGORIES

The European Environmental Design Award aims to reward the most outstanding performances within five categories:

• Sustainable building. Actions in the field of architectural design and sustainable or bioclimatic construction.
• Industrial design. Design of objects that introduce environmental improvements into industrial processes and in daily life.
• Publishing. Publications (magazines, books, etc.) that, with a high level of design, deal with environmental issues or use in their own process significant innovative green components (materials, processes, etc.).
• Graphic design Campaigns or Actions Under this category are included posters and adverts, publicity campaigns or slogans, logos, etc. that promote and combine environmental values and quality design.
• Business, individual or institutional initiatives that include design and environment as integral elements in all their processes.

For the first edition, prizes are awarded to work or activities carried out within the last five years (2003-2008).
