EXHIBITION "LANUBE" (THECLOUD")

"Lanube (Thecloud) is a visual metaphor of sustainable thought attitude. It has been designed to develop the appropriate emotional environment to discover designs, ideas and initiatives covered by the best-ed award. Lanube is well rounded in shape, but light in its materialisation. It is lightweight, uses little material and all of it is recyclable. Lanube is able to change our perception of space, just like sustainable thought changes our experience of the world. Lanube does not touch existing space, it floats on it establishing a mutual dialogue, just like our stay on this planet should be. Lanube has a powerful macro reading, and a highly daily micro reading. It is the “think global, act local” so old yet always so true. Lanube is not only fluid in its shape but flexible in its use. Because recycling starts first with re-using and there is no more re-usable object than the one which is willingly undefined" (Ignacio Valero)

The awarded works and a selection of the best ones will be exhibited in "Lanube" (Thecloud) at the Central de Diseño of Matadero Madrid, from March 24th 2010.

In the occasion, DIMAD counts on the expertise of the architect Ignacio Valero and the interior designer José Miguel Celestino Mur, as well as on the cooperation of the Escuela de Arte nº4 and the support of Philips Lighting.

The exhibition will be open to the public until May 16th 2010, from 4 pm to 10 pm, from Tuesday to Friday, and from 11 am to 10 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
